Easy Real Food Snack Swaps

Mambo Sprouts and Made in Nature sent product samples for the purpose of this review. I was not compensated for this review. All opinions are mine.
Made in Nature Coconut Chips

Packaged snacks make snacking on the go so easy.  Unfortunately, I pretty much had to give up that convenience when I made the transition to real food.  I’ve been spending lots of time prepping snacks for sporting events, classroom snacks, and car trips.  It takes a lot of time and energy to always be Juggling Real Food and Real Life.  That’s why I am so excited to share the Made in Nature snack products with you today.

Made in Nature is in the process of rebranding.  They are growing from a dried fruit company to a healthy organic snack company.  From sweet to savory…..they have a snack made from real food ingredients that you can feel good about sharing with your family.

Made in Nature Products

Made in Nature generously shared a variety of their products with me.  They have some exciting flavor combinations. Many of the trail mixes on the market have questionable ingredients. Oils that I don’t like to serve my family, excessive sugar, artificial colors………and lots of ingredients that I can not even pronounce.  Made in Nature’s Maple Balsamic Fusion is a nice alternative for those of us with more mature palates.  I took a bite and thought it had a strange flavor and then I took another bite.  That’s all it took, I was hooked.  The Rosemary Truffle Kale Chips and Espresso Coconut Chips also have more grown-up flavors.  Each one is totally delicious and made from Organic and GMO-free ingredients.  Each of these snacks travel really well and are perfect for me to pack for an afternoon snack at the office.

Made in Nature Figgy Pops

My daughter opened up the Tart Cherry Figgy Pops and was excited to try them.  They are little balls of happiness. Yes, I said it and it’s true.  They satisfy my chocolate cravings and help me maintain the energy I need to make it through a busy day.  My daughter and I go straight to her dance class after school each Wednesday and we like to have a healthy snack to keep us energized till dinner.  A quick snack that we can eat in the car is important.  I throw two or three Figgy Pops into my Lunchskins reusable pouches for each of us and we are good to go.  The Figgy Pops are chewy like a brownie and they taste like you are eating a decadent dessert. Since they are made from really healthy ingredients, I can feel good about serving them to my little dancer.

Made in Nature Tropical Fusion Real Food Snack

My little guy is a very picky eater.  It is always tough to find healthy snacks he likes.  It’s not that he likes junk food better.  It’s more like he doesn’t like anything.  However, I was pleasantly surprised when he picked out two of the Made in Nature snacks that he really enjoyed.  He enjoyed the cinnamon coconut chips and was happy to munch on them.  He said it tasted like cinnamon cereal.  I got really excited when he tried the Tropical Fusion and declared, “Now this is really tasty!”  His third grade class is permitted to bring a healthy peanut-free snack to enjoy in the afternoon each day. These Tropical Fusion snack packs are a great solution.  Although it looks like trail mix, it contains only dried fruit.  No nuts!  The snack packs are the perfect size for the kiddos to tuck into their backpacks.  I like to keep plenty on hand for mornings that we are running late and need to quickly grab a snack before the bus arrives.

Sticking to a real food diet is so much easier when companies like Made in Nature help out by making products that are real-food certified.  So many times I hear my kids state that there is “no food in the house…….just ingredients.”  I want them to learn to cook and eat whole foods, but sometimes it’s nice to just have a packaged food sitting in the cupboard ready to go.  And now thanks to Made in Nature………I don’t have to feel guilty about having packaged snacks in the house.

I have not tried these products Christina…thanks for the review! Snacks are so hard and I confess to getting tired of making everything all the time! This makes for some wonderful options. Thank you!

I’m big into making my own snacks, but these snacks are a nice way to change things up and they are so convenient. Great for travel!

Thanks for posting this! Coconut chips have become my #1 go-to snack. It’s so helpful to have a couple of fast snacks that are still healthy when you’re in a rush!
