Welcome to the 10-Week Real Food Journey!

Welcome!

Are you ready to take control of your family’s health, feel more confident in the kitchen, and finally make real food a part of your busy life? You’re in the right place!

The Real Food Challenge is designed with busy families in mind. Over the next 10 weeks, we’ll take things step by step so you can learn, practice, and build habits that last. No overwhelm. No guilt. Just simple, realistic changes that add up to a healthier way of living.

Each week brings a new focus—like reading ingredient labels, swapping processed snacks for fresh ones, meal planning, and even conquering those hectic weeknight dinners. You’ll get encouragement, practical tips, and plenty of “you’ve got this!” reminders along the way.

Think of this challenge as your supportive guide—not a strict diet. You’ll still enjoy food you love, but in ways that make you feel energized and confident about what you’re feeding your family. Not convinced? Check out our informative introduction to Real Food by clicking here.

By the end of 10 weeks, you’ll not only have a pantry full of real food ingredients—you’ll also have the skills and confidence to keep your real food lifestyle going for the long haul.

So, grab your apron, toss the take-out menu and let’s do this together. Your real food journey starts now!

  • One new focus each week
  • Family-friendly tips
  • No overwhelm—just progress

How It Works

Each week, you’ll get one simple, realistic change to focus on. That’s it—just one. By stacking these little changes week after week, you’ll build a lifestyle that feels natural instead of overwhelming. You’ll learn how to shop smarter, cook easier, and enjoy real food without spending hours in the kitchen.

Think of it as baby steps that add up to big wins for your family. By the end of the 10 weeks, you’ll look back and realize how much you’ve accomplished—and you’ll wonder why you didn’t start sooner!

The 80/20 Rule: Progress, Not Perfection

This isn’t about being perfect—it’s about making better choices most of the time. If you can eat real food about 80% of the time, you’re doing amazing! That leaves room for birthday cake, pizza night, or your favorite treat without any guilt. Think of this challenge as building healthy habits that fit your real life, not chasing perfection.

Week 1 – Let’s Get Organized

We’ll start with the basics: setting up your kitchen and pantry so real food choices are easier. A little organization now will save you so much time later.

  • Get Organized – Real Food for Busy Moms
  • Real Food Staples Every Busy Mom Should Keep on Hand

Week 2 – Drink Real Beverages

Swap out the sugary drinks for real, refreshing options. You’ll be surprised at how quickly you feel the difference.

  • Week 2: Breaking Up with Diet Soda (and Finding Something Better!)
  • Week 2: Drink Up, Mama! Why Staying Hydrated Has Never Been This Stylish

Week 3 – Read Food Labels

Become a food detective! Learn to spot hidden sugars, additives, and ingredients you don’t want sneaking into your cart.

  • Week 3: Read Food Labels — The Eye-Opening Truth About What’s Really in Your Food

Week 4 – Eat Two Fruits or Veggies with Each Meal

This one’s fun—and colorful! Add a splash of freshness and nutrients to every plate.

Week 5 – Choose Whole Grains

Goodbye refined grains, hello hearty and wholesome! We’ll explore simple swaps that your family will actually enjoy.

Week 6 – Use Natural Sweeteners

Cut back on the refined sugar and explore natural ways to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Week 7 – Ditch Artificial Dyes & Chemicals

Say no to the neon and yes to real! Learn how to avoid artificial colors and mystery ingredients without feeling deprived.

Week 8 – Real Food Breakfast

Start your mornings off right with quick, nourishing breakfasts that fuel your day.

Week 9 – Real Food Lunch

Pack (or plate) simple, satisfying lunches that keep you energized without the afternoon crash.

Week 10 – Real Food Dinner

Bring it all together at the family table with real, flavorful dinners that everyone will love.

Celebrate & Keep Going

You did it! Ten weeks of learning, practicing, and creating new real food habits—what an accomplishment. This is your moment to celebrate how far you’ve come. Maybe that means a special family dinner, maybe it’s treating yourself to a new kitchen tool you’ve had your eye on, or maybe it’s just taking a quiet minute to pat yourself on the back (you deserve it!).

But here’s the best part—this isn’t the end. It’s the beginning of your real food journey. Keep practicing the habits you’ve learned, keep leaning on that 80/20 rule, and keep coming back here for recipes, tips, and encouragement. Make sure you sign up for our weekly newsletter.  You’ve built a strong foundation, and now you get to enjoy the benefits of feeding your family real food for the long haul.

Remember, every meal is a new opportunity. So, keep going, keep celebrating, and keep juggling real food and real life—one delicious bite at a time.
