There are some recipes that are more than just food—they’re an experience. My crockpot baked apples definitely fall into that category. Not only are they ridiculously easy to make (my husband actually makes them most of the time!), but they also fill the house with the kind of sweet, cozy smell that makes everyone stop and say, “What’s in the crockpot?”

These baked apples are one of those comforting little joys of fall and winter that our family loves. They’re a perfect treat for busy moms and dads who want something homemade without the stress. And the best part? You can let your crockpot do all the work while you go about your day. Score!

I’ll share the recipe below (you’re going to love how simple it is), but first let’s talk about the fun ways to enjoy them:

  • Classic style: Hot and tender straight from the crockpot.
  • Dessert magic: Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a swirl of whipped cream on top.
  • Better-for-you treat: Spoon them over yogurt and crumble some granola or chopped nuts on top for that little crunch factor.
  • Breakfast upgrade: Stir into oatmeal for an instant fall-inspired breakfast.
  • All of the above, please!

This recipe is proof that you don’t have to be in the kitchen all day (we don’t have time for that!) to enjoy a real food treat that feels special. Whether you’re looking for an easy weeknight dessert, a holiday side dish, or just something that makes your home smell incredible, these crockpot baked apples check all the boxes.

Now let’s get to the fun part—here’s how we make them!

Warm up your home with easy crockpot baked apples! This simple recipe is perfect for busy moms and dads, makes the house smell amazing, and tastes delicious with ice cream, whipped cream, yogurt, or granola. A cozy fall treat the whole family will love!

  • Author: Christina
  • Prep Time: 20 minutes
  • Cook Time: 6 hours on low
  • Total Time: 0 hours
  • Yield: 6
  • Category: Dessert
  • Method: Crockpot

Ingredients

  • 6 apples
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon
  • 1 stick of butter

Instructions

  1. For best results, use an all-in-one apple peeler, spiral slicer, corer tool on each apple. Otherwise, peel and core your apples.
  2. Place in crockpot in a single level.
  3. Cut stick of butter in half and then cut each half into 4 sticks.
  4. Place each stick of butter into the middle of the apple. Cut up the last two and place around the bottom of the crockpot.
  5. Pour honey over each apple.
  6. Sprinkle Pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon over the apples.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.

Notes

  • All in one apple peeler, corer, slicer tool which I found at Amazon really takes these up to the next level and makes it easy to prep. Amazon
  • Adjust cook time as needed for your crockpot. Apples should be soft but still hold their shape.

And that’s it—simple, cozy, and absolutely delicious! Crockpot baked apples are one of those recipes that feel a little extra special while still being easy enough for a weeknight.

Do you like your baked apples topped with ice cream, whipped cream, or something crunchy like granola? Or are you more of a “straight from the crockpot” kind of apple lover? I’d love to hear how you enjoy them in the comments!
