Celebrations Real Life

Grab a Pumpkin Spice Latte, a Cozy Blanket, and the Perfect Fall Book

If you’re anything like me, fall is your season. The leaves are swirling, the evenings are getting crisp, football is back, and suddenly all I want to do is slow down and soak up the cozy. That’s where the magic of a Pumpkin Spice Latte (yes, the one you can grab right here on my website), a snuggly fall blanket, and the perfect book come together.

So here’s the plan: brew up that latte, wrap yourself in your softest throw, and get ready to dive into a story that feels like it’s straight out of a Hallmark movie. I’ve rounded up five books from Amazon that will transport you to small towns, pumpkin patches, and apple orchards — all without leaving your couch.

5 Fun, Cozy Reads to Match Your Pumpkin Spice Latte

1. The Pumpkin Spice Café by Laurie Gilmore –  Amazon

You knew this one had to be first, right? Jeanie inherits her aunt’s café in the quaint town of Dream Harbor, where she stirs up more than just lattes. Enter Logan, the local farmer who’d rather keep things exactly the same. Will pumpkin spice and a little bit of love change his mind? This one is warm, heart-warming, and practically begs for a latte in hand.

2. The Honeycrisp Orchard Inn by Valerie Bowman – Amazon

Apple orchards, autumn festivals, and romance that simmers right alongside the cider. If you love the idea of a cozy inn and a love story that unfolds under twinkle lights and falling leaves, this one will make you swoon.

3. Falling Like Leaves by Misty Wilson – Amazon Audible

City girl. Small town. An old flame. Add in the town’s fall festival and you’ve got the perfect ingredients for a weekend escape you’ll wish you were living. It’s sweet, heartfelt, and checks all the cozy-romance boxes.

4. Fall I Want by Lyra Parish – Amazon Audible

This feel-good rom-com is the perfect balance of sass, laughs, and heart. If you like a little sparkle and witty banter with your small-town cozy vibes, you’ll want to curl up with this one on a rainy afternoon.

5. Let’s Give ’Em Pumpkin to Talk About by Esra Popp – Amazon

She comes home. He’s still there. The pumpkins are big, but the emotions are even bigger. You’ll laugh, sigh, and maybe even shed a happy tear as these two sort through old memories and discover new beginnings — all surrounded by pumpkin fields and that warm, autumn glow.

Set the Scene for Your Reading Escape

Here’s how I like to do it:

  • Grab a Pumpkin Spice Latte ( find the recipe here. ) because coffee + pumpkin + spice = instant fall happiness.
  • Light a candle (bonus points if it’s apple or cinnamon scented).
  • Pile on the soft blankets and maybe even fuzzy socks.
  • Pick one of the books above and let yourself drift off into another world.

Because sometimes, the very best way to celebrate the season is with a hot drink in your hand, a good book in your lap, and a few quiet minutes just for yourself.

So tell me — which one of these books are you reaching for first? And if you’ve got a favorite cozy fall read, I’d love to hear about it. Let’s keep building our fall reading list together! The more conversation we have the more connected we will all feel. You can also join us on our Facebook page.

🎉 Juggling Real Food and Real Life is officiall 🎉 Juggling Real Food and Real Life is officially a teenager! 🎉

13 years ago, I hit publish on my very first blog post. Back then, my kids were still young, and I was deep in the “mom life” of packing lunches, rushing to practices, and trying to figure out how to keep real food on the table without losing my mind. 🍎🥦

Fast forward to today, and here I am—a grandmother! 👵💖 Life looks a little different now, but the heart of this community hasn’t changed. It’s still about juggling the busyness of life, making space for the people we love, and finding joy in real food (and real moments).

I never imagined that this little corner of the internet would become such a special part of my life for over a decade. Thank you for being here—whether you’ve been with me since the beginning or just found me recently. You are the reason this space is still going strong. 💕

Here’s to 13 years of memories, lessons, recipes, and laughter… and to many more ahead! 🥂

Drop me a comment and tell me how long you’ve been hanging out here—I’d love to know!

Young dancers need more than sparkly costumes and strong muscles—they need the right fuel to stay focused and energized all class long. 💃🥗

Balanced meals with carbs + protein + healthy fats are the secret to avoiding mid-class crashes and powering through those long practices. And don’t forget water—hydration is just as important as the food they eat! 💧

👉 In Part 1 of my new series on Fueling Young Dancers with Real Food, I’m sharing simple tips and snack ideas to help dancers shine at the studio.

What’s your dancer’s favorite pre-class snack? 🍎🥜
